An essential commitment I made to you in 2018 was to communicate openly and often about items that will impact our community.
I committed to hosting Town Halls in each community to discuss important issues.
I am happy to tell you I have scheduled dates in June for some community Town Halls and a few Coffee with Klein events. At every Community Town Hall I will have Slow Down signs, Police Valuable Signs for your vehicle, and more.
The Charleswood Community Town Hall will take place Tuesday, June 6 at 7:00 pm at the Park West Inn. We will discuss the replacement of Roblin Blvd. trees and development in our community, specifically two applications coming to the City Council in June.
A Special Community Town Hall in The Oaks will take place Wednesday, June 8 at 7:00 pm at the Bridge Church.
The Westwood Community Town Hall will take place Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00 pm at the Kirkfield-Westwood Community Centre. We will discuss many items, but the focus will be on selling the former Police Academy lands. I will invite developers who have indicated an interest in the property to my office.
Coffee with Klein
Wednesday, June 16, from 8:30 to 10:00 am at Tim Hortons on Grant Avenue.
I had people suggest that days were not convenient for them, so I have scheduled a Coffee with Klein for Monday, June 20 at 7:00 pm on live on Facebook.
