Kevin Klein Wins Kirkfield Park By-Election for PC Party

Wednesday, December 14, 2022 - Kevin Klein is the successful candidate in the Kirkfield Park by-election and will become the area’s new MLA.

“I’m thrilled to represent Manitobans once again,” said Klein. “This area is very close to my heart, and we’ve accomplished a lot together already. I will continue to listen, advocate and work for the residents of Kirkfield Park.”

Quick Facts about results:

  • There were 4442 fewer votes cast in this election than in the 2019 general election.

  • The NDP tally was 581 below their vote in 2019.

  • The Liberals only gained 46 more votes than in the general election.

PC Party Leader Heather Stefanson is confident that Klein will be a great MLA.

“Kevin has a great track record when it comes to public service, and he chose to represent our party because he believes what we all do: that historic investments in health care, making life more affordable, and building safer communities are what Manitoba needs to grow,” she said. “Today’s results show that Manitobans do NOT want to go back to the dark days of the Greg Selinger-Wab Kinew NDP.”

Kirkfield Park voters have seen the investments made by the PC Team in the Grace Hospital’s ER and ICU, and saw through the NDP’s misinformation campaign surrounding these historic investments. Klein will continue to ensure that Kirkfield Park’s healthcare priorities are met.

“I am proud of my accomplishments in this community, and together with residents of Kirkfield Park, I know that list will only continue to grow,” said Klein. “We’ve got a lot more to do, and I will bring the same hard work and determination in my role as an MLA as I always have.”
