WINNIPEG, MB. - One of the biggest honours I have serving this community is awarding funding to projects that help make our city a little better. Residents of Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood helped fund several projects over the last few months.
You provided $16,574.80 to the Friends of the Harte Trail to assist with the cost of the Ridgewood West Tree Plant Canopy Completion project.
The Historical Museum of St. James-Assiniboia is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the St. James Municipality. Our community has provided approximately $500 in funding thus far to assist with planned events.
The Tuxedo Tennis Club received $10,000 to assist with the cost of the Tennis Court Repair Project.
Fort Whyte Foundation received $25,000 to the Fort Whyte Farms Transportation for Social Enterprise Youth project. The funding will not exceed 50% of the costs associated with purchasing a vehicle for transportation.
The Bruce Oake Foundation received $700.00.
Our ward joined other wards in the city and provided $5,000 to the Sikh Society of Manitoba to assist with costs associated with their expansion.
Little by little, we are working to make Winnipeg Better. Thank you for allowing me to be your representative at City Hall.
