We live in the best country in the world, and I was happy to celebrate Canada Day at different community events.
We started by cheering on more than 50 people who took the oath to become Canadian Citizens and, as always, stopped to thank our members of the police.
Then, it was off to join some colleagues and participate in achieving a Guinness Book of World Records for drumming!
We headed back home to Kirkfield Park, where we joined our community at the ANAVETS (on Portage Ave) for a BBQ and, of course, the famous meat draw.
Celebrating with so many people at different events shows that not one person, one culture, one race, or even one religion makes Canada the greatest country in the world. It is all of us together as Canadians that make us great.
